This is just a simple dance is a mime/dance performance by the dance company Lazy Susan & Co. The physical and visual performance is set in a desolate village inspired by a text from Gerben Vaillant. Five women are endlessly marching alongside the rhythm of time. The serene and fragile atmosphere filling the room is brutally interrupted by flashes of memories and fantasies. Accompanied by a touch of hometown melancholy this performance offers different female perspectives on finding autonomy in a small community.
